Born in 1955, Hanoi. Graduate of Industrial Arts College in 1976, and the School of Fine Arts in 1986. Worked for several years in the Central Arts Department of the Ministry of Culture. Solo and joint exhibitions in Hanoi from 1990-1994, and in Japan in 1993. A quiet and unassuming artist, Thach Fuoc does not seek publicity, but is gaining popularity nonetheless with his energetic gouache paintings of Hanoi scenes and peaceful renditions of peasant life.
