Thirteen thousand floating emerald islands make up the Indonesian archipelago stretching 3,000 miles from Asia to the Pacific. We visit the Eastern Islands, also known as Nusa Tenggarra, which cover only a tiny fraction of this vast country.
Traveler Mark Crowdy starts his Indonesian journey in Bali from where he travels by ferry to climb one of Indonesia's 400 volcanos on the island of Lombok. He then travels east to Komodo to come face to face with its famed dragons and on to the dramatic sulphuric lakes of Flores. Traveling via the Spice Islands of Ambon and Bandu, he ends his journey in Timor.
