Selections for entry in this volume were are made from the fields of government, business, commerce and industry, journalism, medicine science, and education.

Individuals managing commercial and industrial firms have been chosen primarily on their value as business contacts. Special attention has been paid to executives of firms with commercial prominence, Those involved in foreign trade, and individuals involved in banking and finance. Additionally, executives in foreign investment real estate and development, agriculture, manufacturing and a variety of service firms are also provided.

In the editorial evaluation that resulted in the ultimate selection of the names presented in this volume, an individual's desire to be listed was not sufficient reason for inclusion.
